The Mounjaro Manifestos
They’re Lying about Mounjaro

This is the first in a series about my experiences using Mounjaro.
I recently started using Mounjaro, and it was a decision I didn’t take lightly. I read extensively about it. I followed the studies that were published before it was granted FDA approval. Even then, I waited almost two years before pulling the trigger and asking my doctor for a prescription.
By that time, GLP-1 medications were an international obsession. Celebrities were singing their praises. And the Great Shortages had begun.

And I did, but only a bit.
I’m actually diabetic and was already taking metformin, two things that make insurance companies relax their hand a bit as they clutch their “DENIED” stamps.
But my doctor was the first hurdle. He didn’t balk at prescribing a GLP-1, but he kept trying to steer me towards taking Ozempic (semaglutide). “It works better,” he said…
